Vanessa was born and raised in Miami, FL and moved to Gainesville, FL to attend to University of Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from the University of Florida. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist and ASHA board certified. She is trained in the Lindamood Phonemic Sequencing Program (LiPS) and the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, which are both multi-sensory approaches to teaching reading and spelling, and are benefical for children with reading disorders, including dyslexia. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
